Description
A single Om is cast in sterling silver and set into a fine flat chain as its one station. The strokes of the character are raised and polished and the ground behind them is filled with magenta enamel, so the shape of the Om stays legible from any angle. A small polished bead sits above and below the character and holds it square to the chain.
The chain is flat and closely linked, and its surface breaks light into short segments along the wrist, which keeps the eye moving toward the enamel at the centre. The enamel is filled level with the silver rather than domed, so the station lies flat against the skin.
A lobster clasp and a short extender chain adjust the fit. The Om is the syllable chanted at the opening of prayer in Hindu practice; here it is worn small, at the wrist, rather than at the throat.
