Description
The chain runs in alternating sections: a smooth sterling silver snake (Serpentina) italian style chain, then a run of round beads seated contiguously along the line, then snake again. Both constructions are built to the same gauge and joined end to end, so each change reads as a shift in texture rather than a break in the line.
The snake sections are worked as a close band of interlocking plates that turn as one surface and hold an even lustre; the bead runs sit as small spheres, each holding its own point of light. Together they mark the length out in measured intervals.
At 45 cm this is a princess length and sits on the collarbone, with the bead and snake sections spaced evenly around the neck. A spring ring stamped 925 closes it, and the chain stays supple enough to lie flat under a collar.
