Orders & Delivery

Placing, tracking and receiving your order · 7 questions

How long will my order take?

We pack most orders within 1–2 working days, and delivery within India usually takes 4–10 working days depending on where you are. Made-to-order pieces follow the timeline shown on their product page. Shipping is free on prepaid orders of ₹2,000 and above. Below that, a small charge applies based on your location, and it is shown at checkout before you pay. Sundays and public holidays are not counted as working days.

How do I track my order?

Once your piece is dispatched, we will email you the tracking details, and registered customers can also follow it under Track Order in their account. If your pincode turns out to be unserviceable, our House Support team will reach out to sort it with you. We are here daily, 9 AM to 9 PM IST, by email or WhatsApp.

Is my order insured while it travels?

Yes. Every shipment is fully insured while it is in transit, every time. If anything happens to a piece on its way to you, that is ours to resolve, not yours.

What if my package looks damaged, or is marked delivered but did not arrive?

If a package looks damaged or tampered with, please do not accept it. Refusing delivery is the cleanest outcome, and we will arrange a fresh shipment. If it has already been delivered and something is wrong, whether it arrived damaged, empty or short, or was marked delivered but you did not receive it, tell us within 48 hours of delivery. We will open an investigation with the courier and help put it right.

What if I miss the delivery?

Our courier partners make up to three delivery attempts before a package is returned to us. To help it reach you first time, please give a reachable mobile number, a complete address with pincode, and a nearby landmark. If a package does come back after three attempts, we will get in touch to arrange another dispatch. A reshipping charge applies on the second attempt.

Can I combine multiple orders?

We are not able to combine separate orders once they have been placed. Each is processed and shipped on its own, and any shipping charge is calculated per order.

Do you ship outside India?

Yes. We ship to most countries our partners serve. International delivery usually takes 4–6 weeks, mostly because of customs processing, and the exact shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay. Any customs duties or import taxes in your country are set by your government and are yours to pay. You will find the full detail under International Orders below.

Returns & Refunds

Sending something back, and what happens next · 7 questions

Something's wrong with my piece. What now?

If your piece arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, incomplete, or materially different from what was described, contact House Support within 48 hours of delivery. Once we have approved the claim, we will put it right with the appropriate remedy: a repair, replacement, exchange, House Credit, or a refund, depending on the issue. Where a return is needed, we arrange and pay for insured shipping, and if a refund is due, any shipping you paid comes back too. Recording a continuous unboxing video from the sealed package helps us assess transit claims quickly, so we recommend it. This covers everything we sell, including sale pieces.

Can I return a piece if I just change my mind?

If a piece simply is not right for you, you can request a return within 7 days of delivery. To be eligible it should be unworn, unused and undamaged, in its original packaging with all certificates, warranty cards, invoices, tags and seals, and not resized, engraved or altered by anyone other than us. Message House Support to approve the return first, then send it back with an insured, trackable courier of your choice. Return shipping is yours on a change of mind, and the piece stays your responsibility until it reaches us safely. Once it is received, inspected and approved, we issue the full value as House Credit, normally within 5–7 working days. A gift can be returned this way too, and the credit goes to the original purchaser unless we agree otherwise.

Why House Credit and not money back?

On a change of mind, the return is settled as House Credit rather than a refund to your card. That is the trade for there being no fee and a full week to decide. If something is actually wrong with a piece, that is different, and you are refunded to your original payment method. House Credit cannot be redeemed for cash or moved back to your original payment method.

How long does House Credit last?

House Credit is valid for 36 months from the day it is issued. It is issued for the full eligible value with nothing deducted, works on anything on the site including sale pieces, and can usually be combined with eligible promotions. It is issued to your account and is not transferable.

Can I exchange a piece instead?

Yes. An eligible piece can be exchanged once for another design in the same product category, subject to availability. You might exchange for another size where resizing is not suitable, another finish or colour, or another design in that category. For a higher-value piece you pay the difference, and for a lower-value one, the balance comes to you as House Credit. Limited Edition pieces are usually exchanged only for an identical piece, and clearance or Final Sale pieces cannot be exchanged unless they arrive damaged or incorrect. Your replacement is dispatched once we have received and checked the returned piece.

How soon will I get my refund?

Once your returned piece reaches us, inspection normally takes 2–5 working days. After it is approved, a monetary refund is issued to your original payment method. We begin it within 5–7 working days of approval, and how quickly it then lands depends on your bank. On a change-of-mind return, the remedy is House Credit rather than a card refund.

Is there anything you can't take back?

On a change of mind, a few things cannot be returned: made-to-order, bespoke, commissioned or personalised pieces; engraved pieces; anything resized at your request; pieces already returned or exchanged once; and anything bought outside our website. Bullion, coins and loose stones follow our Market Pricing Policy. If any of these arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, though, it is covered just like everything else.

Your Piece

Care, warranty, repairs and resizing · 8 questions

What does the warranty cover?

Every piece is covered against defects in materials and workmanship, things like stone setting, soldering, clasps and fastenings, structural joints, and stone loss caused by a making fault. Cover runs 12 months from delivery on polished, plated, gold-plated and vermeil finishes, and 60 months on all other pieces. Where a covered defect appears, we will determine the right fix, either a repair or a replacement if repair is not suitable, at no cost to you. It does not cover ordinary wear, tarnish, fading of plating, accidental or impact damage, exposure to chemicals, or work done by another jeweller.

My silver has gone dark — is it faulty?

No. That is tarnish, and every sterling silver piece does it. Silver naturally oxidises on contact with air, moisture, perfume and skin, and deepens in tone over time. It is a surface change, not a fault, and a dry, soft microfibre cloth lifts it in a minute or so. There is one in your box.

How should I look after my jewellery?

Clean it with a dry, soft microfibre cloth, and store each piece separately in its pouch or box. Put jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion and cosmetics, and take it off before bathing, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Keep it away from chlorine, saltwater and household chemicals, which are the things that genuinely harm silver.

My piece broke and it's out of warranty — can it still be fixed?

Almost always, yes. We repair pieces for the life of the jewellery wherever it is reasonably possible. Send House Support a few photographs and we will tell you whether it can be mended, the estimated cost, how long it will take, and whether any parts are needed, all before any work begins. Repairs outside the warranty are chargeable. You send the piece to us, and we cover return shipping once it is done.

Can I get a piece re-plated or resized?

Often, yes. Where the design allows, sterling silver can be gold-plated, re-plated, or restored to its original finish, and many pieces can be resized. Both are chargeable services and are not covered by the warranty, and some designs cannot be safely resized. Message House Support about your specific piece and we will let you know what is possible.

I've lost my certificate — can I get a new one?

If your piece came with a certificate, we will do our best to obtain a replacement or duplicate from the laboratory that issued it. Any fee the lab charges, along with related admin or shipping costs, is payable by you. Contact House Support and we will start the process.

Why does my piece look slightly different from the photos?

Our pieces are made by hand in Surat, so slight variations in finish, dimensions, stone placement or weight are a natural part of the making. They are a mark of handwork rather than a fault. Natural gemstones and diamonds also carry their own inclusions and colouring, formed over time and reflected in any certificate, and these are part of the stone, not flaws. Screens can shift colour a little too.

Is your silver hallmarked?

Yes. Javeri House holds a BIS Hallmark registration (certificate HM/C-7190409317) for silver jewellery and artefacts under IS 2112 : 2025. Hallmarked pieces are assayed by an Assaying and Hallmarking Centre recognised by the Bureau of Indian Standards before they carry the mark, so the purity is verified independently rather than claimed by us.

You can see all our registrations, and verify each one with the issuing authority, on our Registrations & Certifications page.

Payments & Cancellations

Prices, payment and changing your mind early · 3 questions

Can I cancel or change my order?

You can cancel or change an order within 24 hours of placing it, or any time before it is dispatched, whichever is later. You are refunded to your original payment method, less only costs we have already paid out and cannot recover: the payment gateway's charge, and, for made-to-order or personalised pieces, any work already done. We will always tell you the exact amount, and what it is for, before anything is processed. Once a piece has been dispatched it cannot be cancelled, so please accept delivery and then request a return if you would like. Just message House Support.

Is the price I see the price I pay?

Yes. Once your order is confirmed, the price is locked, and we will not come back and ask for more. Prices shown before confirmation are indicative, and for pieces linked to live metal or gemstone rates they can move until the order is placed. Those market-priced pieces are covered by our Market Pricing Policy.

What if something was listed wrongly?

We take care, but errors happen. If a piece was listed with an incorrect price or detail, we will contact you with the correct particulars and you can choose to go ahead or not. If you would rather not, or we cannot reach you, we cancel and refund you in full to your original payment method. We will not charge you for our mistake, and no gateway deduction applies when we are the ones cancelling.

Information & Policy

Privacy, data and how we handle your information · 4 questions

How is my personal information stored and used?

We collect only what we need to serve you: your name, contact and address details, order history and sizing, and any support or design correspondence. We use it to process and deliver your order, provide support, and handle repairs, warranty and returns. Your payment is handled securely by our payment partners, and we never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank credentials. We protect what we hold with encryption in transit and controlled access, and we do not sell your data.

What does your Privacy Policy cover?

In short: we collect only what we need, share it only with the partners who help us run the store, such as our commerce platform and our payment, delivery, and analytics providers, and never sell it. Marketing emails are opt-in and you can unsubscribe any time, and declining non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to shop. We keep information only as long as we need it or the law requires.

What are my rights over my data?

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to show you a summary of the personal information we hold, correct anything inaccurate, delete what is no longer needed, or withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if it is ever needed. Just write to our Privacy contact, Ankit Agrawal, at ankit@javerihouse.com, and we will respond within the time the law allows.

Are you a registered business?

Yes. Javeri House is registered for GST (24ADEPA0096R1ZG) and with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises under Udyam (UDYAM-GJ-22-0657842), and holds a BIS Hallmark registration for silver.

Every number can be checked on the issuing authority's own portal. They are listed on our Registrations & Certifications page.

Bullion & Market-Priced Pieces

Bullion, coins and loose stones · 4 questions

Which pieces are 'market-priced'?

A few products are priced against live precious-metal and gemstone rates rather than as standard jewellery: gold and silver bullion, bars and investment coins, and loose natural or lab-grown (CVD) diamonds and coloured gemstones. Where this applies, it is stated clearly on the product page, and those pieces follow our Market Pricing Policy.

How is the price set on these?

The price is the prevailing Javeri House selling price at the moment your order is confirmed. Because metal and gemstone rates move, the displayed price can change without notice until your order is placed and accepted. Once it is confirmed, it is locked.

Can I return or exchange a market-priced piece?

Because their value tracks live rates, market-priced pieces are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchange. If one arrives damaged, defective, incorrect or not as described, though, it is protected just like anything else we sell. Tell us within 48 hours and we will put it right.

If a refund is due on a market-priced piece, how is it valued?

Where a monetary refund is approved, the metal or stones are valued at the prevailing Javeri House selling price on the date the refund is processed. Making, design, certification and customisation charges, along with taxes and shipping, are not refundable unless we have said otherwise.

International Orders

Shipping beyond India · 6 questions

How long does an international order take?

International delivery typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on the destination. That reflects real customs processing on parcels leaving India, not a courier's best case. If a piece is for an occasion, please order with plenty of room to spare.

What does international shipping cost?

It varies quite a bit by destination, so the exact charge is shown at checkout before you pay. Every international shipment is insured and tracked.

Will I have to pay customs duty?

Very likely, yes. What you pay us covers the piece and shipping to your country, and nothing else. Any customs duties, import taxes, tariffs and clearance charges are set by your government and are yours to pay, and we do not reimburse them.

How do I know what duty I'll be charged?

Your own customs authority is the only reliable source, and the rules change. Several countries have recently altered how they treat low-value parcels. Please check your country's current position before ordering.

What if my parcel is held in customs?

Customs authorities deal with the importer, so you will need to respond to any requests locally. We cannot chase them across a border. But everything on our side is yours right away: commercial invoice, shipping documents, and any other paperwork we can provide. Message us and we will send whatever they are asking for. If a parcel is refused or returned for unpaid duties, any refund is less the shipping, customs and return costs actually incurred.

Can I return an international order?

If something is wrong with it, whether damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as described, absolutely. Tell us within 48 hours and we will put it right at our cost, just as we would in India. Change-of-mind returns, though, are not available on international orders, because return shipping, insurance and re-import duty on a single piece often cost more than the piece itself. So please read the measurements carefully, and ask us anything at all before you order.
