Limited Warranty & Repairs

About this policy

This policy explains the support available after you receive your jewellery, including our Limited Warranty, repair services, replating, resizing, certificate replacement, and recommended jewellery care.

It applies to purchases made directly through the Javeri House website unless otherwise stated.

Questions relating to cancellations, returns, exchanges, refunds, or Javeri House Credit are covered by our Refunds, Returns & Exchanges Policy.

Products subject to market-based pricing are governed by our Market Pricing Policy.

What does the Limited Warranty cover?

Javeri House warrants every piece against defects in materials and workmanship arising from the manufacture of the jewellery.

Examples include:

  • defective stone setting;
  • faulty soldering;
  • clasp or fastening failures;
  • structural joint failures;
  • manufacturing defects affecting the integrity of the piece; and
  • stone loss resulting directly from a manufacturing defect.

Where a covered defect arises during the applicable warranty period, Javeri House will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include repair or replacement at no cost to you.

How long is the warranty?

Jewellery Type Warranty Period
Polished, plated, gold-plated and vermeil finishes 12 months from delivery
All other jewellery 60 months from delivery

What isn't covered?

The Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear;
  • scratches, dents, surface abrasion, or gradual softening through use;
  • tarnishing or natural oxidation of sterling silver;
  • fading, dulling, or wear of plated or polished finishes;
  • accidental damage;
  • misuse or improper handling;
  • exposure to chemicals, perfumes, cosmetics, chlorine, saltwater, or similar substances;
  • damage resulting from impact;
  • stone loss caused by accidental impact;
  • modifications, resizing, repairs, polishing, or alterations performed by anyone other than Javeri House;
  • missing invoices or certificates where reasonably required to verify the purchase.

Can my jewellery still be repaired after the warranty ends?

Yes.

We provide repair services for the life of the jewellery wherever repair is reasonably possible.

If your jewellery requires repair after the warranty period, simply contact House Support with photographs of the piece.

Before any work begins we will tell you:

  • whether the repair is possible;
  • the estimated cost;
  • the expected turnaround time; and
  • whether replacement components are required.

Repairs outside the warranty period are chargeable unless otherwise agreed.

Customers are responsible for sending jewellery to us. Javeri House will cover return shipping once the repair is complete.

Can my jewellery be replated?

Where suitable, sterling silver jewellery may be gold plated, replated, or restored to its original finish.

Replating and refinishing are chargeable services and are not covered under the Limited Warranty.

Availability depends on the design and condition of the jewellery.

Can I resize my jewellery?

Where the design permits, selected jewellery may be resized.

Availability depends on:

  • the jewellery design;
  • the construction of the piece;
  • gemstone placement; and
  • structural integrity.

Resizing is generally a chargeable service unless otherwise stated.

Certain designs cannot be safely resized.

Can I replace a lost certificate?

Where a certificate was originally supplied with your jewellery, we will make reasonable efforts to obtain a replacement or duplicate from the issuing certification laboratory.

Replacement certificate fees charged by the issuing authority, together with any applicable administrative or shipping costs, may be payable by the customer.

How should I care for my jewellery?

Jewellery is intended to be worn and enjoyed. Proper care helps preserve its appearance over time.

We recommend:

  • cleaning jewellery with a dry, soft microfibre cloth;
  • storing each piece separately in its pouch or box;
  • removing jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping;
  • applying perfume, lotions, and cosmetics before wearing jewellery; and
  • avoiding exposure to chlorine, saltwater, and household chemicals.

Sterling silver naturally oxidises over time. This is a characteristic of the metal and not a manufacturing defect.
