Twisted Band Adjustable Kada with Leaf Drops

The band is a single length of sterling silver twisted along most of its run, so the rope pattern turns evenly from one side to the other and flattens into plain round wire at both ends. Those ends pass each other and run through a collar on the opposite side, each stopped by a small bead, which is what allows the bangle to open and close. Two leaf drops hang from jump rings where the ends cross.

The twist does the work of a facet: light breaks across each turn rather than running along the band, so the piece reads as a line of short highlights instead of one continuous one. The drops are worked the other way, engraved with radiating lines, edged in granulation and oxidised in the recesses, so they stay dark against the polished band.

There is no clasp. Drawing the ends apart opens the bangle and sliding them back closes it, which lets one size sit close on a range of wrists. The drops fall to the outside of the wrist and swing with the hand. A 925 stamp sits on one of the sliding collars.
