Description
Each stud is built as a flower in two tiers: five broad petals below, a smaller set folded above them, and a cluster of silver granules at the centre. The petals carry fine engraved veins, and the recesses are oxidised so the outline of every petal stays readable.
The raised edges are polished back to bright silver against the darkened grooves, which is what gives the flower its depth: contrast between levels rather than added ornament. The reverse is left plain and lightly domed.
A straight post and butterfly back fasten each earring. The pair sits close to the lobe, and works as easily with an oxidised chain as it does on its own.
