Rope Style Two Strand Twisted Singapore Style Italian Chain

Flat sterling silver curb links are twisted along one continuous axis, the construction Singapore chains with Italian twist are named for, so the line spirals instead of repeating one link shape. Each link is diamond-cut before assembly, which lays a row of facets along the outside of the twist.

Those facets change angle as the spiral turns, so light breaks across the chain in flashes rather than running down it as one highlight. The metal between the cuts is hand-polished, which keeps the twist legible as texture rather than as a plain band.
