Description
A flat band of 925 sterling silver carries its ornament at stations rather than along its whole length. At each station a square faceted stone sits in a deep gold-tone bezel, flanked by fluted gold-tone plates that hold a row of raised silver granules. Green, deep red and colourless stones alternate around the circle.
The band between stations is left plain and polished to a mirror finish, so light runs uninterrupted from one station to the next and breaks up again at the granulation. The warm areas are a gold-tone plated finish over silver, and they sit slightly proud of the band, which gives the profile its depth through repetition rather than ornament.
The band parts at one point and closes with a tongue seated into a box beneath one of the gold-tone plates, so the bangle can be put on without forcing it over the hand. Made in Surat to Indian bangle size 2.4.
